OWNERS’ ASSOCIATION NEWS
From the Board of Directors:
- The Board would like to welcome Paul Sarvaideo as an interim director. Paul has a very vast work background and we are sure his experiences will benefit our Rivers Edge community.
- Reminder:Â Rivers’ Edge speed limit is 15 mph and many of us are not adhering to it! For everyone’s safety please remain mindful
of the posted  speed limit and adhere to it! - The HOA is looking for homeowners to join a committee. Applications are located on the wall bin outside the Clubhouse HOA office. All are welcome and encouraged to apply.Â
- Â As of year-end 2019 your community has grown to 51 units (49 homes plus 2 model homes).
-  When the community took ownership of the HOA in July 2018, there were many unexpected and neglected repairs that had to be addressed and paid for. Because of this, we have not been able to add any funds into our reserve account.  In order to plan for the future, effective January 1st, 2020, a $50.00 monthly common charge increase is necessary. Our property manager (NEPA) has mailed to all homeowner’s coupon books reflecting the new monthly amount of $325.00.
- A new policy has been adopted whereas all non-emergency projects or repairs over $3,000 will now
require a majority vote (1 per household).

GALA CHRISTMAS PARTY: At the Best Western Hotel
Filled with the holiday spirit, about 26 residents of our River’s Edge community gathered in a private conference room in the Best Western Hotel for our annual Christmas Party & Dinner, organized by Bonnie & John Matthews. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the party atmosphere palpable, as evidenced by these pictures.

SHADOWLAND STAGES
Always up for the theater, a group of our residents enjoyed a wonderful and unique radio production of “It’s a Wonderful Life” at beautiful Shadowland Stages in Ellenville, NY on December 14th.  Never ones to miss out on an opportunity to dine, before the show the group enjoyed lunch at Nick & Tony’s Restaurant.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
The new year, and the new decade, arrived with great fanfare at our River’s Edge Community Clubhouse, the scene of a New Year’s Eve party for River’s Edge residents. With lots of good food and drink, our residents enjoyed welcoming 2020 together. Many thanks to Bonnie & John Matthews and the 500 Block for hosting this great evening.
Monthly Ladies
Each month, our River’s Edge Ladies go “off campus” to a nice restaurant to enjoy a luncheon and comeraderie, sprinkled with fun and laughs. November’s outing was at Danny’s in Wurstboro, NY followed by shopping at the very unique Canal Towne Emporium. Then in December, our ladies did their annual Christmas gathering at The Rustic Wheelhouse in Chester, NY, pictured below.

Sales, and sales interest remains very high, resulting in solid community growth which is expected to continue in the New Year. Riverside building #8 is sold out with the final townhome (904) expected to close  in January. Building #10 (801 – 811 Macintosh) is sold out with 2 units (803 and 805) already occupied. Four of the six units in new building #12 (601 – 611 Macintosh) have been sold, leaving only 2 available for sale. Building #24 on Braeburn (407 – 415) is sold out, with one townhome (#415) already occupied.
Another new building # 13 on Macintosh is in the
process of being framed, and the foundation has already been poured for new
building # 14 also on Macintosh. Work on both of these new buildings will
continue through the winter with occupancy expected next year. Depending on
sales, spring of next year may also see the start of another new building on
Macintosh.
Our “Friends & Family” program could get you 1
year’s free Association dues for a qualified sale. See Geoff Pitcher for
details.
